About Course

SmartTeach AI is a professional development workshop designed to equip teachers, lecturers and other educators with practical skills for integrating artificial intelligence into the teaching and instructional design process.

The programme focuses on using AI to assist educators with: lesson planning; curriculum interpretation; instructional design; teaching-resource development; classroom activities; explanations and examples; differentiated instruction; student engagement; presentation development; educational content creation; teaching reflection and improvement.

The programme does not position AI as a replacement for the teacher.
Instead: AI becomes an instructional assistant while the educator remains the teacher, facilitator and professional decision-maker.

What Will You Learn?

Course Content

MODULE 1: AI & THE FUTURE OF TEACHING
Participants understand the role of AI in education and can identify appropriate teaching applications.

  • Lesson 1: Understanding AI-Assisted Teaching
  • Lesson 2: Generative AI and the Modern Educator
  • Lesson 3: What AI Can and Cannot Do in Teaching
  • Lesson 4: AI as a Teaching Assistant
  • Lesson 5: Human Judgment, Accuracy and Responsible AI

MODULE 2: AI-ASSISTED LESSON & CURRICULUM PLANNING
Each participant creates: An AI-Assisted Lesson Plan based on a real subject they teach.

MODULE 3: AI-POWERED TEACHING RESOURCE CREATION
Participants develop: An AI-Assisted Teaching Resource Pack containing lesson notes, examples, activities and presentation material.

MODULE 4: AI FOR ENGAGING & DIFFERENTIATED TEACHING
Participants develop: A Differentiated Learning Activity for at least two different learner levels or learning contexts.

MODULE 5: AI FOR TEACHER PRODUCTIVITY & PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE
Each participant designs: My AI Teaching Assistant Workflow

MODULE 6: RESPONSIBLE AI & THE FUTURE EDUCATOR
Participants create: Responsible AI Teaching Checklist
