Artificial intelligence is changing how educators prepare lessons, develop learning resources, assess students, provide feedback, and manage educational responsibilities. SmartEdu AI: The Future of Teaching & Assessment is a free introductory virtual learning programme by Jomo Resource Center (JomoRC), designed to help teachers, lecturers, tutors, trainers, and other education professionals understand the opportunities and responsibilities of using AI in education.

Through three practical, story-based sessions, participants will explore how AI can support teaching, assessment, feedback, and professional development while keeping educators firmly in control of important decisions.

• Session 3 — Becoming an AI-Ready Educator: Identify practical opportunities for responsible AI adoption and develop a personal starting point for continuous improvement.

How the Programme Works

The course contains three sessions. Each session includes a lesson, a personal reflection assessment, and a short knowledge quiz. The final session concludes with guidance on continuing your AI-learning journey.

The personal assessments help you reflect on your needs and priorities; they are not examinations. The session quizzes help reinforce your understanding of the lessons.

No prior AI expertise is required. Participants should be willing to reflect, learn, and consider how AI might responsibly support their professional work.
